Folk Alliance International Partnering with 1680Entertainment to Present Special Bill Miller Appearance

1680Entertainment is proud to announce a special partnership with Folk Alliance International to present a special performance by 3-time GRAMMY award-winning musician, activist, and speaker, Bill Miller, at the 29th Annual Folk Alliance International Conference on February 17, 2017!

Overwhelmingly recognized as “The True Voice of America’s Native Peoples,” Miller’s appearance is part of the conference’s inaugural Indigenous Gathering events, including a hand-picked panel representing tribes and peoples from around the world including South and Central America, Norway, Australia, the US, Canada, and the high Arctic.

Our theme this year is Forbidden Folk (Celebrating Activism in Art) and this is coinciding with an Indigenous gathering with artists from the Arctic, Canada, the US, and Latin America. We are honored to present Bill Miller in the gathering, on a panel, and in a special showcase, and are excited to partner with 1680Entertainment to help make it happen! – Aengus Finnan, Executive Director, Folk Alliance International

Bill Miller’s participation in the landmark events are part of a trio headliner programming, including his fellow music luminaries Billy Bragg and Ani DiFranco.

We’re excited to announce 1680Entertainment Artists The Roosevelts will be prominently featured on the hit TV series, NASHVILLE – again.

While avoiding any spoilers for fans of the show, we can say that The Roosevelts will be featured in connection with the series lead character, Rayna Jaymes, in a featured spot. This marks the second time in one year the TV series’ brass tapped the band’s well of talent, and we are all quite proud that both ABC Television and CMT (the new home for the series) have taken serious notice of The Roosevelts’ unique musical voice.

You can see The Roosevelts on the season premiere of NASHVILLE on January 5th, 2017, on CMT.

Recognition and demand of The Roosevelts’ sound across the US was significantly boosted during 2016 with placements in two pop culture broadcast juggernauts.
